This game plays a lot like the original “Street Fighter”. It’s sloppy, and it’s boring, and there’s no strategy. You’ll play it once out of curiosity and never want to play it again.
Do you like 8-bit graphics? Do you like 8-bit music? Do you like “Mega Man”? Do you like shovels?
Franchises, no matter how big and well loved, need to undergo massive changes every few entries to remain relevant. It’s how gaming grows. It’s how franchises grow. It’s how a fanbase grows.
Let me preface this by saying that I don’t think “Watch Dogs” is a bad game. It’s not. It has interesting ideas and a lot of content. If you’re the type of person that values the illusion of innovation and likes a LOT of stuff to do – even if that stuff isn’t very fun – then “Watch Dogs” will please you.
Me? I’m not like that.
Why not make an “XCOM” game and only use coworkers for soldiers?

During the ten or so playthroughs over the course of seventeen years, I always find myself consistently enchanted with “Phantasy Star IV”. It never gets old. It always feels so GOOD. A truly magnificent piece of RPG design that always manages to please, without ever feeling tired or stale.

So, is the “Final Fantasy XIII” trilogy the death of the series, as predicted – for the eighth time – by angry “fans”? No, not even close. They’re not the best games in the series, but they’re certainly not the worst. Hell, even if you think they’re the worst, they’re still perfectly playable.
