My wife…and well almost every other woman I know, is reading this Fifty Shades of Grey thing. From my foggy understanding of the entire ordeal, it started as Twilight fan fiction. At first I wanted to just tell everyone I know that they should go read Penthouse letters, but then it dawned on me why it’s so popular. It’s not because of the quality of writing, it’s not because it’s especially good erotic literature and It’s not even because it has ties to Twilight. It’s because it’s accepted as mainstream which makes people somewhat ok about reading and talking bout pornography openly. Sooo…good on ya Shades of Grey.
